There are more than a few ways to enjoy matcha, an increasingly popular green tea powder. We are adding another to the list with this matcha smoothie. It's topped with some crushed pumpkin seeds for some extra green goodness and a little bit of crunch.
Pour the honey onto a small plate and spread it out. Dip the rim of a glass into the honey to coat it.
1 tablespoon honey
Add 1 teaspoon of matcha powder to a separate flat plate and spread it out. Dip the glass into the matcha powder so that it sticks to the honey on the rim. Let it sit while you make the smoothie.
1 teaspoon matcha powder
Add all of the smoothie ingredients to a blender. Blend on high speed until smooth.
½ cup oat milk, 1 tablespoon honey, 2 teaspoons matcha powder, ½ cup vanilla Greek yogurt, 1 cup banana slices
Transfer to the matcha-rimmed glass. Top with the pumpkin seeds. Serve!
1 teaspoon pumpkin seeds

Notes
The calorie amount does not include the glass rim because it would be too difficult to determine the amount used.
I like to buy my matcha powder in a big tin because it ends up being cheaper. I always opt for organic, non-GMO.
While I use oat milk for this smoothie you could also use whole cow's milk because it's also rich and creamy.
