Strawberry Banana Smoothie

This strawberry banana smoothie is an absolute classic! Just a few simple ingredients combine to create a thick, creamy and cool treat. The orange juice binds it all together and the mint finishes it off with a burst of freshness.

Ingredients
  

  • ¾ cup orange juice - no added sugar
  • ¼ cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup frozen strawberry slices
  • ½ cup frozen banana slices
  • fresh mint leaves and strawberries - optional garnish

Instructions
 

  • Add the orange juice, Greek yogurt, strawberries and bananas to a high speed blender in that order.
  • Start blending on low speed and then blend on high until the mixture is smooth.
  • Transfer to a glass. Garnish with the fresh mint leaves and strawberries if desired and serve!

Notes

  1. Sweetness: If you like a sweeter smoothie, replace the Greek yogurt with vanilla flavored Greek yogurt or just add a touch of agave nectar.
  2. Pro Tip: If you are using a magic bullet blender or one similar to it, you are going to want to add the ingredients in the opposite order, from bottom to top. This is because the design is different from a regular blender and you want the blade to hit the liquid and softer ingredients first.
