Equipment

  • 1 blender

Ingredients

  • ½ cup almond milk - unsweetened
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract - optional
  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter
  • 2 tablespoons hemp hearts
  • 1 ½ tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1 cup bananas - sliced and frozen
  • chopped peanuts - optional topping

Instructions

  • Add all of the ingredients to a blender.
  • Blend on high speed until smooth. If it’s too thick for your liking, you can add some more almond milk to thin it out.
  • Transfer to a glass. Top with more hemp hearts, peanuts and cocoa powder, if desired. Serve!

Notes

  • I’ve used both smooth and crunchy peanut butter; it doesn’t make a difference as it gets blended anyway–so use whatever kind you have on hand.
  • For best results I would serve the smoothie right away but you can store it in the fridge for up to 24 hours before it becomes unappetizing.
