Chocolate Peanut Butter Smoothie

Sharing is caring!

Who needs a chocolate milkshake when you have something as delicious and wholesome as this chocolate peanut butter smoothie? It’s naturally sweetened with bananas; no added sugars here! It’s also dairy free and vegan.

I would say this smoothie is in my top 5 best smoothies so far. I’m definitely a chocolate and peanut butter gal!

Aside from the bananas, the mixture uses mostly nuts and seeds plus some cocoa powder for that rich chocolate flavor. I also have these delicious chocolate-flavored smoothies: double chocolate smoothie and chocolate banana smoothie.

🍫Ingredients

Chocolate peanut butter smoothie ingredients prepped and labeled on wooden tray.
  • almond milk – Make sure you use the unsweetened kind or this smoothie might turn out a little too sweet.
  • vanilla extract – Optional but enhances the flavor.
  • peanut butter – I’ve used both smooth and crunchy peanut butter; it doesn’t make a difference as it gets blended anyway–so use whatever kind you have on hand.
  • hemp hearts – These are just shelled hemp seeds.
  • cocoa powder – Unsweetened.
  • bananas – Sliced and frozen.
  • chopped peanuts (not pictured) – This is an optional topping.

🥣How to Make it

Chocolate peanut butter smoothie in glass with straw.
  1. Add all of the ingredients to a blender.
  2. Blend on high speed until smooth. If it’s too thick for your liking, you can add some more almond milk to thin it out.
  3. Transfer to a glass. Top with more hemp hearts, peanuts and cocoa powder, if desired. Serve!
