Papaya smoothie in clear glass with clear straw and fresh papaya on the side.

Papaya Smoothie

This papaya smoothie is creamy, thick and delicious. I invite both lovers and non-lovers of papaya to try it out. It’s sweetened with a touch of honey, orange juice and some frozen bananas.

Equipment

  • 1 blender

Ingredients

  • ½ cup unsweetened cashew milk
  • ¼ cup orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon honey - or to taste
  • ¼ teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 cup papaya - cubed and frozen
  • ½ cup banana - sliced and frozen

Instructions

  • Add all of the ingredients to a blender.
  • Blend on high speed until smooth. Adjust the sweetness with honey, if needed. If you’d like it to be thinner, add some more juice.
  • Transfer to a glass and serve.

  • Agave nectar is a vegan substitute for the honey.
  • You can use fresh ginger instead of ground ginger or omit it if you don't like the taste.
