- 1 cup pistachio milk - unsweetened
- ¼ cup roasted pistachios - shelled and unsalted
- ½ cup frozen avocado chunks
- ½ cup frozen pineapple chunks
- 1 ½ tablespoons agave nectar - or to taste
- 1 pinch ground cinnamon
Add all of the ingredients to a blender jar, preferably in the order listed.
Blend on high speed until smooth.
Pour into a glass and serve!
- You can substitute the pistachio milk with cow’s milk or another plant-based milk like oat, almond or soy.
- You can use raw pistachios, but I much prefer the taste of roasted pistachios in this smoothie. They are also more digestible than raw and deeper in that beautiful, vibrant, green color.
- When you are shelling the pistachios, try to rub off the skins as well. If you add too many of those, the taste can become bitter. This might also change the texture of the smoothie.
