Equipment

  • 1 blender

Ingredients

  • ½ cup cherry yogurt - can substitute with vanilla yogurt
  • 1 cup cherries - frozen - I use bing
  • ½ banana - sliced and frozen (about ⅓ cup)

Instructions

  • Add all of the ingredients to a blender.
  • Blend on high speed until smooth. You might need to stop the blender and scrape the sides down once or twice.
  • Transfer to a glass and serve. Garnish with fresh cherries, if desired.

Notes

  • I use the classic sweet bing cherries. If you are freezing your own, make sure you choose ripe cherries that are firm and plump in texture and deep/shiny in color.
  • If you can’t find cherry yogurt, it is perfectly fine to use vanilla yogurt instead.
  • If you want to sweeten the smoothie a little more, you can add a touch of agave nectar.
