Equipment

  • blender

Ingredients

  • ½ cup water
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice - freshly squeezed
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • ¼ cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup seedless watermelon - cubed and frozen
  • 4 frozen strawberries
  • cup frozen banana slices - about ½ of a banana

Instructions

  • Add the ingredients to a blender.
  • Blend on high speed until smooth.
  • Transfer to a glass and serve. Garnish with a small watermelon triangle if desired.

Notes

  • You can substitute with juice or milk but it might drown out the mild flavor of the watermelon.
  • I add honey because it isn’t quite sweet enough for me without it but feel free to omit it if that’s not the case for you.
  • I normally buy my fruit pre-frozen from the supermarket, but in the case of watermelon, I have yet to find a brand that uses nicely ripe, sweet, red watermelon. It’s usually lacking in color and flavor so I like to buy it fresh, especially when they are on sale, and then chop and freeze it myself.
