Triple Berry Smoothie

Sharing is caring!

This triple berry smoothie is a fruity combination of strawberries, blackberries and raspberries with a few other choice ingredients. This may depend on the ingredient brands you choose, but I think this smoothie tastes like a fruit roll up!

This smoothie has triple the goodness with its combination of blackberries, raspberries and strawberries. It’s one of my favorites so far but I also have other berry smoothies including this blueberry yogurt smoothie and strawberry blueberry smoothie that are delicious.

Ingredients

Triple berry smoothie ingredients prepped on wooden board with purple background.
  • almond milk – Plain and unsweetened.
  • banana slices – Frozen.
  • strawberry slices – Frozen.
  • blackberries – Frozen.
  • raspberries – Frozen. You could use 1 cup of pre-frozen mixed berries from the grocery store in place of the berries in this recipe.

Recipe FAQs

Is it OK to put frozen berries in a smoothie?

Absolutely! I love adding frozen berries to a smoothie because they thicken it up and chill it nicely.

Do I need to defrost frozen berries for smoothies?

No. There is no need to thaw frozen berries before adding them to a smoothie, especially if you have a high-powered blender. If you are going to defrost them, however, I would do so in the refrigerator.

Is it cheaper to buy frozen fruit or fresh for smoothies?

I almost always find that frozen fruit is cheaper than its fresh fruit match. Not only is it cheaper but it saves you on prep time.
