🧉What is in a Piña Colada Smoothie?

Pineapple, shredded coconut, coconut milk, pineapple juice and straws on wooden background.

One thing that isn't in a Piña Colada smoothie, is alcohol. You will need the following ingredients:

  • shredded coconut - I like to use the finer, unsweetened flakes.
  • pineapple juice - 100% no sugar added.
  • coconut milk - Canned and unsweetened.
  • pineapple chunks - Frozen.
  • agave nectar (not pictured/optional) - You can substitute with honey but keep in mind it will no longer be vegan.

🥣How to Make it

  1. Rim the glass. Place the shredded coconut on a small plate. Place the agave nectar on a separate plate and spread it around. Grab your glass and dip the rim into the agave nectar to moisten it. Dip the rim of your glass into the shredded coconut to coat it. Set aside while you make the smoothie.
  2. Make the smoothie. Add all of the ingredients to a blender. Blend on high speed until smooth. Scrape down the sides as needed.
  3. Serve. Transfer to the coconut-rimmed glass and serve!

✅Top Tip

The coconut milk can become separated in the can. Make sure you combine it thoroughly with a whisk before measuring and using it in the smoothie.
